Many of the recent papers focus on specific facets of AI governance such as algorithmic justice and AI's application in specific sectors, but there remains a significant gap in addressing the comprehensive regulatory frameworks needed for effective cross-jurisdictional governance of AI technologies. Additionally, there is insufficient exploration of integrating stakeholder perspectives, particularly from underserved communities, into the development of these frameworks.

The high number of publications indicates a vibrant research environment, which can attract funding and collaborative opportunities, while the presence of open roles suggests a growing job market for expertise in AI governance.
